Friday again folks.

Have to do it early today due to having been notified yesterday that they'll be redoing the cable line due to the We Energies so called upgrade a few months ago that has resulted in more outages that are of longer duration than any we experienced over the past twenty or so years. Also on the news this morning we were notified of a rate increase for those so called We Energies upgrades. Must be nice to get more for making things worse.

So as we wait to see how long the internet will be down,

What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

I'm heading over to NM to work on the porch project there. Some rain forecast tonight and tomorrow, but clear sailing the rest of the week, so I'm hoping to get a lot of stuff wrapped up.

Still plugging along on a jewelry box and i have just a few outdoor things to take care of. Otherwise I'll be trying to avoid football.

Cable trucks just started showing up, so we'll probably be off-line for awhile shortly.

Still working on the big sign. I should be done with mods to the supports for awhile so more time for actual work. :)

Could be worse, the local PD is working a homicide case on the next block over from my house, happened yesterday while I was out and about.

Looks like they won't be doing it today, they weren't told that about half of the cable is underground from Bruce's corner to the pole in our front that is scheduled for removal. The existing cable won't reach the new poles so they'll have to run new overhead cable for the roughly two city blocks that feeds our neighbor, and us. So I guess they get paid for doing nothing for about half a day.

I'll be working on a small project for my daughter and doing some fence repairs.

It's showtime! Rock of Ages had first performance Friday, two more on Saturday, and one on Sunday. We got the set completed just before dress rehearsal on Thursday (as per usual). Two level band platforms (with real "escape stairs"), large trapezodial performance platform with two levels of step platforms, two side walls 9' tall by 14+' wide, one rolling wall, Hollywood sign, three falling buildings, rolling bus, rolling DJ station, bar, table and chairs, pay phone wall, rolling mayor's desk and platform upholsteredr.

Thinking about the price of building materials- I hope you can reuse much of it for each different presentation!
