progress, a bowl, and some globes.

Still chugging along on the knobs. Just finished a run of 25 roundish ones.

This group puts me 75 away from my commitment of 300 by mid Nov. They are going well enough I could conceivably reach that this week but more likely early next week. I have enough blanks prepped with a couple extra for fallout so all that's left is to turn them.

Found the time this weekend to do a few globes. I have a self imposed rule that I only turn for fun on weekends, if I get these done in time they will be gifted and not sold.

I posted pictures of a large burl bowl a couple weeks ago. That bowl will be a wedding present for a great niece from her mom and dad. I had a piece from the burl that I'd trimmed off and made this bowl from it. Not very big, the bowl area is only about 4" diameter and 1.5" deep. We will present it as our wedding gift to them as a companion piece to the larger bowl.

I came so close to turning this into a funnel. While I did not, I felt the bottom was just too thin so I turned a plug to fit into the mortise from another piece of the burl. It fill well enough but there will always be "that line". So, I used one of my favorite zentangle patterns and hid it as well as I could. Probably shouldn't point that out but we're all friends here,

Fred once again you go over the top with all you do, if you wouldn't have pointed it out I thought that ring was a part of the design, and your ornaments are absolutely beautiful and a big salute for all you have accomplished with those knobs, absolutly amazing.
