Yesterday at 12:20 PM1 day comment_380141 I have 2 close quarter drills, a Milwaukee and one of the HF 90° models. But I don't have a small sanding disk to use with them, like on the inside of bowls, etc. To be honest, so far I've not felt the need for such a setup, but maybe I'm missing something. Are they that useful (the small sanding discs) and is there one that generally rated as being better than others? Report
Yesterday at 03:33 PM1 day comment_380146 Fred, I have purchased some of the accessories from Woodturners Wondershttps://woodturnerswonders.com/collections/sanders-and-drillsMostly I use 3" and 2" diameter soft pads chucked into a angled drill (from the place above) and screen type sandpaper. With all that said, I'm still world's worst sander. I really struggle getting sanding marks to disappear. I have been having some success with the Yorkshire sanding paste but finding the recommended nitrocellulose products is a real challenge in PA. I think I'm going to have to resort to online suppliers. Here's another type of sander for bowl insideshttps://www.rockler.com/inflatable-bowl-sanderI tried to make one because of the expense of specialized sandpaper shapes. My attempt didn't work too well. Report

23 hours ago23 hr comment_380151 Yes, I power sand almost everything. It cuts the sanding time way down. I use a pneumatic 90 degree die grinder and the disc kit from Woodturners Wonders. I have the 2” and 3” kit but only use the 2” where the 3” won’t fit. Report
23 hours ago23 hr comment_380154 Like Rusty and Lew I use the mandrels and pad holders from WTW.Not my current configuration but very similar. Now sits on my headstock. I use a Corded JobMax sander mostly but also have a random orbit pneumatic from WTW (it is a little noisy and is aggressive ). Mostly use the 2 inch discs which i get from Turning Wood.Turning WoodHe has Mirka Gold and for me it works best. Have tried Blue Ice and Abranet and some others but just makes for too many types. It is best to stick with one type as grit sizes vary from one brand to another. This is my storage drawer for supplies. Report
