Outlet cover part two

Featured Replies

The first outlet cover doesn't work with the wall it would have gone on. So I developed this pattern instead.

Anyone have suggestions for for lightly bendind the masonite so it will fit flat against the wall?

The fish pattern is by Steve Good, My plan is to paint the spots on the cover grey to match the wall and add a red splash along the horizontal detail with glitter paint.

I watched a YouTube video of a gentlemen bending masonite using an ammonia based cleaner (Windex, original). I soaked the back of the masonite with the Windex, used the jig and set it outside, it rained all night and the fish is drying. Since all I'm trying to get is the outlet cover to lay flat, I fairly sure this will work. I'll post one more follow-up when I've got it mounted. 🙂

I would have never thought that would work! I hope that doesn't come out curved the other direction.

That looks like it will work. Nice work cutting the fish & the outlets.

I know from past attempts at bowl pearceing attempts the patients it takes to do something like that and my hats off to you for a job well donePraise .
