July 28Jul 28 Popular Post comment_379294 About a week ago my granddaughter wanted to do a project with me and she chose a fish as the topic. Late last week we picked out the wood and a fish design, I cut is out with my new Grizzly scroll saw, Thursday she painted it, her way, and this weekend I put it together and mounted it on a plaque for he. I thought the paint job was a little unusual but considering it came out of the mind of an 11 year old I think it came out pretty good. Report

July 29Jul 29 comment_379351 Worked on cleaning up some of the brush I cut last week along the creek and finished digging out the popcorn tree I had gotten part way on last week . After cleanuo and cool off got to the shop . For some reason the A/C altho set at 81 had allowed temp to get to 88. Did some research and found suggestion to cut power and take batteries out of remote for 3 minutes. Will see if that worked tomorrow. This was at least the 3rd day it has done this. So got the pantry drawers sanded and will paint tomorrow. Hope to seed the ditch I have been working on tomorrow. May get some rain by end of the week. Report
July 29Jul 29 comment_379401 Well, had my first bandsaw blade break during a cut. 😲😬 Thankfully a thin blade that was well into the wood so nothing too dramatic...although definitely added some excitement to the afternoon. 😉 Got the original blade back on and finished the cuts.Need to order some new blades. What are everyone's favorites? This is for my Rikon 3061 (10 inch). Report
July 30Jul 30 comment_379407 I get these most of the timehttps://www.timberwolfblades.com/They sell them at Woodcraft. My bandsaw uses a weird size so I need to get custom lengths. Report
July 30Jul 30 comment_379451 I get mine local as I tend to damage a lot of blades. Not sure if they sell online but the name is Fersco Saws. Very reasonable prices. Report
