23 hours ago23 hr Author Thank you. I think it's going to work out well. I kind of think that some of the tools that are in it won't stay in it. I will end the process of building with that chest find different processes for for the build might not require but one or two things that I already have in my main chest. And so there will be times when I will take that chest out and sometimes I will take my man chest out depending on what I'm doing. I will there'll be a period of adjustment using both of those chests until I figure out what works. But I'm really excited to have it because it means that I can pretty much work out of that chest when I build guitars and out of the other when I do joynery work like furniture and things of that nature. Thanks for watching I appreciate it.
23 hours ago23 hr Hey Mike, I completely enjoyed the video, the sound was great, loved the outside, and I love your shop! Thank you for walking us through the tools, I was very interested in every single one of them and how they applied to your craft. I like your unassuming style, and laid back demeanor Mike, easy to watch. Keep up the great work and keep those videos coming, pretty soon we gonna have a YouTube influencer in our midst!
23 hours ago23 hr Oh ya, the box is a great build! You had mentioned the front lions head latch, you may paint it silver, if I may add an opinion on that, if you really want to give it some shine to get closer to your side handles, how about a little buffing compound, instead of paint, I could just see that paint not lasting too long. Or, perhaps leave it as is, personally I like the old patina on the lions head, even if it doesn't match the side handles. It's all part of the wonderful character of the chest.
23 hours ago23 hr Author Thanks, John!I would have loved to go more indepth on the tools, but there are actually a ton in that top tray; the video would have been around 40 minutes, lol.And yeah, not painting that latch. As far as Youtube goes, all i want out of it is to get people excited about hand tool woodworking. If I do that I will consider it a win. Edited 23 hours ago23 hr by Handfoolery
