20 hours ago20 hr I have a delta Rockwell radial arm saw 30-C CU428 Model 438-02-314-0069 and would really like to know how to wire it for 120 VAC. Also there is a switch on it for 120 or 240 but it is unreadable for which position it should be in. Also would like to know if there is a manual somewhere online for this model. Thanks in advance for any/all guidance.Joe
6 hours ago6 hr Joe, welcome to the forum. Youll find that saw really useful once it's set up. Delta published their manuals at times to cover several models of the same tool; that may have been the case with your saw. I found this one, and it includes a wiring diagram to get to 120V. I hope this one is what you need. While everything there is good info, the wiring diagram is on page 20.
5 hours ago5 hr I noticed the "note" on the wiring diagram for 120v that it is not recommended to operate at 120v for whatever reason. Maybe look into installing a 240v receptacle.
1 hour ago1 hr Author Thanks for the quick responses. I definitely will consider each one. After removing the motor cover, I found the starting capacitor went bad, black goo seeping out of it. Ordered one from Amazon, coming tomorrow. Hopefully that is all it needs after all these years. My dad used it to build his house in the early 60’s and all cabinets throughout the house, it was a real work horse. I’ll try to attach a pic of capacitor. Thanks for the suggestions and manual info.
