June 16Jun 16 Popular Post comment_377756 I use Oneida's Dust Deputies with my shop vacs. When emptied they like to tip over with the tug of the hose.Wheeled dollies are available and I bought a couple that work fine. I needed one more so rather then spending another $30 I thought I'd see if I could make one.5 identical casters (one with a different stem) from my caster collection and a large piece of particle/chip board 5/4 thick seem to work fine. The pails taper, so I made the shallow pocket with a tapered edge to match. Fit of the pail is perfect. Snug enough so it stays on if you pick up the pail, yet will come off easy with a tap.Original intend was to add a top ring supported by vertical dowels. In use I don't think it is needed. CNC cutting the pocket was a dusty mess. Otherwise this was a quick project that uses up some abandoned casters and a scrap of old thick crap. 4D Report
