A guy at church had a hemlock tree fall on his house during a big storm. He gave me a small chunk. I made him an ornament. I couldn’t believe how light weight it is.

Years ago, I had three hemlocks in my back yard. All of them were well over 100 feet beautiful and green. One day we had over 60 mph winds that changed direction and one that was 120 feet and weighed slightly over 7 tons snapped about 8 feet up and came down on my neighbor's house. It broke 6 trusses. Bummer!
