April 1Apr 1 Popular Post I hope I do this right! My name is Ken. I live in Winder, Georgia. 76 Years old. Served U.S. Navy 1969 to 1973. I was AMS3 (Aviation Structural Mechanic.) I worked on the P-3 Orions.....sub hunters! I am semi-retired and love doing wood working, hunting and fishing. I am trying to do a few small things that might allow me to be able to sell to help make ends meet. I only have very basic, inexpensive tools but I try. I have seen some BEAUTIFUL work here in the gallery! I am a little embarrassed to post any of my stuff but, I was told I should. I am not very high tech so let's hope I do this right! Here goes.....
April 1Apr 1 Glad you found us. Those are some nice works. I especially like the rocker. I did on too.

Worked on radars/and computers in the A6A Intruder. My cousin was a crew member on the P3. He deployed east and I got to go to the South East Asia War Games.
April 1Apr 1 Author P-3's were not on ships. Our "tour of sea duty" was a 5 month deployment to Keflavic Iceland!

THANK-YOU for your service to our great nation.Thank-you for sharing your projects; some really nice work; I especially appreciate the rocking chair. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects as well as just what's going on in the Peach State. Glad you're here.BTW, love your screen name; take out as many Bambis as you can; no prisoners😆 I frequently pass a couple herds ranging 25-100. Between my wife, daughter and I we've only reduced the number by 4 over the years but have helped the local body shops earn decent incomes.🤑
April 2Apr 2 Author So .....here is one that I am kind of proud of. first picture is the original piece. It's a picture of an antique record player sitting on a table. The table holds the metal discs (records). The table was destroyed during the last hurricane they had in Florida. The record player survived! Mint condition. It belonged to the grandparents of a young lady that I not only walked down the aisle but, also performed the wedding. (long story) She was given the record player. As a wedding gift, I made her a new table. (second picture) The top is granite, and the main body of the table is maple.
