March 27Mar 27 Popular Post Friday again folks! Here in the land of "Two Weeks From Anywhere" I've managed between bouts of this sinus infection (SWMBO has it now ) and the roller coaster weather to get a bit done on my latest project. It's one of those projects with "No Plans" created from recycled furniture pieces, a couple of cabinet doors, and a ( I think it's a 35 Gallon) cardboard barrel of Oak cut offs I got from a Trim-Carpenter that I knew from my siding business days about 25-30 years ago. Ran into him next door at Bruce's Antique Mall. He recognized me but It took me a few minutes to recognize him. We got to talking and I asked if he had any Oak cut-offs I could get from him. Turns out he's about to retire, he'll be 65 this year and his SWMBO want's him to at least clear the "Wood Stash" out of the 2 car garage so it can be used as a garage. Rob told me if I need more, to come on back, and said if I had a place to store it "Please take it all". Believe me that 2 car garage is packed wall to wall, and floor to ceiling with several species of wood. I don't believe he'd miss it. His Pole-Barn is just as stuffed with just a small work area that he hopes to expand a bit once he retires. Still haven't found where the heck I put the camera (Probably somewhere right in front of me), so photos will have to wait. ( Sorry no W.I.P. photos) With all that,What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
March 27Mar 27 Popular Post Accomplished a few outside tasks and ran a couple errands this past week between extreme weather events; even spent a little time yesterday sorting and refurbing a few tools. Then about 6:45P things got interesting. The temperature dropped 22° in less than 45 minutes, phone began screaming with one warning after another...apparently things like this call for that...Taken about 7P, EDT by a County Deputy approximately 5 miles SW of us.About 15 minutes later, I took this one from our front yard; maybe 1/4 mile to our SE.I haven't heard any damage reports beyond lots of limbs down and a few trees uprooted; too close for comfort though; lots of standing water as well as runoff through open ditches and waterways in fields.Anyways, out early today to Boilermakerville for a hair cut, then a couple errands. Today is oldest grandsons 15th birthday. He's having a bunch of his buddies over tonight so we'll celebrate with him on Sunday afternoon after church. Donut know yet what I'm planning for tomorrow; haven't got the memo from HeR yet.
