I am saddened to notify you that we lost Jack Armstrong to cancer.

Some of you may know him or recognize his work. He was a significant influence with his turning art pieces in the New Zeeland art and turning world. He was a superstar in lots of ways.

A true artist with his forms and embellishments that told moving stories.

In the short time I knew Jack we became more like brothers than just Turning buddies. He made a huge positive effect on the many “families” he had around him. Our turning community is like a family and I am sure the other art and social groups he impacted will morn his loss too.

I didn't know of him but sad to hear this. It saddens me that anyone should pass away.
