The few carvings I have attempted have been pretty blah but I tried to add a little more detail to this latest one.

Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll get the hang of this stuff. I'm not quite finished with it but I thought I would share

The only thing wrong with that is that you didn't use mesquite!😁

That would have been cool..........if I had any mesquite.

Looks really great from Indiana Bubba. Speaking of Armadillos, apparently some have escaped from Texas and made it all the way to Indiana. That just what we need...Opossums wearing body armor.😆

I think it was comedian Justin Wilsin that said, "An armadillo ain't nothing but a possum on the halfshell."

That's neat @Bubba I've always wanted to try some intarsia and even have a book on it. The closest thing I've done to any wall art in this.

@MrRick I saw your 3D deer when you first posted it and I really liked it.

Your reference to intarsia confused me a little since my armadillo was carved out of a single piece of wood.

Yes Bubba I knew you carved it out of one piece. But it reminded me of intarsia. Guess I could have worded it all better. Then I confused it further by showing some of my wall art. Anyways your carving is a good job and I like it.

Like I said I really like your deer wall art. I am a deer hunter and I remember thinking I need to learn how to do that, because that in probably the only way I will ever get a trophy deer mounted on the wall. 🤠
