March 17Mar 17 Popular Post I have a table top drill press and the material support platform is only 6 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" deep. Also the shape of the underside of the platform makes it difficult to clamp material to it. So, I created a platform that would clamp to the original platform that is 12 3/8" wide by 11 1/8" deep. I had to notch the back right corner so it wouldn't interfere with the crank handle. On the underside of the new platform I made a bar with knobs to clamp to the original platform and a couple of pieces of wood to guide the new platform into the same place every time and keep it square to the original platform. Here it is in use.
