March 10Mar 10 Popular Post comment_372522 I don't normally do these one off but one of the lady turners in our club asked me to maker her one of my honey dipper lids. Flatters me because I know it's well within her ability to make one. She also asked if I could burn a celtic pattern or maybe some flowers on it.As always, the dipper stem is hard maple with no finish.Lid is cherry with a spalted maple knob. Here is something amazing, at least to me. This floral design was generated by Windows11 "co-pilot". I just typed in the dialog box, "celtic vine with flowers in a circle" and in a couple of minutes it produced this. I then asked for the graphic to be adapted for laser engraving and that is what I used with very little tweaking for speed/power settings. It's hard to know whether to exited for or afraid of these times we live in. Report
