March 9Mar 9 Popular Post I'm pretty close to "done" with my mobile clamp rack. I have a wide variety of brands and types that I picked up on sale over the years so not a "uniform" presentation. The clamp holders are 3D printed. I did add some magnets and magnetic bars to ensure clamps stay in place when moving the cart (especially important as there are some cracks/uneven areas on the shop floor). In addition to clamps, I decided to add other items that would be helpful in assembly and glueup, including a tape measure, glue and brushes, gloves, painter's tape, bench cookies, corner squares, large brown paper roll, paper towels, plus pencils and markers. Most of those (other than the brown paper) are attached with 3D printed holders. Expect I'll add a few more items, but ready to shift to the next project.Few pictures This picture was before I attached the corner squares to the side (creator of the file also provided 3D print files for a mounting bracket!), so those are still in the bottom tray.Even with the weight, the rack rolls easily so I'll be able to move wherever I need it. Really happy with how it turned out.

March 9Mar 9 Popular Post That's outstanding. Clamp storage is always a conundrum. You want a place to store them but you don't want to walk all over the place to get one.

March 13Mar 13 For comparison I had a tote cart from an unnamed drug chain and built an A frame on it. Just barely has all my clamps on it.

But with DMs permission I salvaged a lot more shelves and file drawers. It is unreal what stores throw out but once it is devalued for taxes they cannot sell it.

Still using one of the drawer units in the basement workshop!I wish I had floor space for a clamp cart. Mine hang on the wall.
March 13Mar 13 Popular Post I had to build a Clamp Rack because my walls were full of Tools & Hardware. It sits in a corner semi-out of the way
