By golly Rusty, I think you've got this down. Both all top notch but the one with the white top and finial really pops. At least by the picture, the white looks pearlescent. Very cool.

I like them both but more partial to the black one. Nice work!

The burl figure in both ornaments is really eye-catching — lots of depth and character. I especially like the contrast on the one with the black-dyed cherry finials; the India ink gives it a crisp, elegant look. The holly finials have a totally different feel — lighter and really clean.
