February 5Feb 5 Popular Post Years ago, besides my engineering career, I was a professional artist. I was a watercolor artist. I've sold my paintings around the world. Anyways... after all these years my wife has become an artist. She used to say she'd never do it because she had no talent. But she started sketching and now watercolor painting. She's doing portraits, landscapes, barn scenes, florals, etc. And she's very good! She's been using my equipment and also buying her own.Anyways..I noticed she's been laying her brushes on the desk on a paper towel so I made her this little "Artist Brush Stand".I made it out of scrap teak. Then applied wood butter as a finish. It flat packs in case she wants to carry it in her art box for painting on location. It opens up nicely. It has a fold out support. BTW... the main frame corners are all hand cut dovetails. Thanks for looking!Cheers!!MrRick Edited February 5Feb 5 by MrRick
February 6Feb 6 Love it, your engineering soul coming through there Rick 😊 A very useful and well thought out design, the dovetails just throw in that extra perfect subtle pizazz flair into it, thanks for sharing!
