January 26Jan 26 Popular Post After being chosen to go on the Honor Flight I have been even more of a Patriot. This cutting is now proudly hanging on my "Patriot Wall".
January 26Jan 26 Popular Post Love it and simply amazing work Fred. Awesome you were able to receive your recognition and reward on your Honor Flight. One of the greatest and most humbling experiences of my lifetime as the Guardian for my stepfather on bis Honor Flight.
January 26Jan 26 I received a call from a social media contact about signing up for one of those flights. I declined because I feel there are a more deserving veterans, who experienced way more life changing events, then me.

IIRC, you served in the Vietnam era in or near Vietnam in support. You are deserving and have earned your opportunity to do so.There is no cost to you as a veteran. "Scholarships" are often available for your guardian which cannot be your spouse with exception of extremely rare cases. I'd be humbled and honored to be your guardian if only I was closer although after my health issues the past five years probably wouldn't be up to the task. Please, please reconsider. You've earned the privilege to experience this recognition for your service. Trust me on this one, you won't regret it.

February 16Feb 16 Hey Fred, how long does work like that take? From grabbing the plank to final finish?

February 18Feb 18 Author Velocipede bit the big one a couple of years ago. Main flywheel came apart scattering bearings all over the shop. Decoded not to rebuild.
