Not meaning any disrespect to wives everywhere by my title, I think making your wife's life easier is a joy!

 

Here are some toaster tongs I made for my wife from scrap.

 

 

Along with a few other wooden utensils among many I have made for her.

 

 

Guess what.... she loves them and I'm not allowed to touch them (even though I made them) because I don't wash them right! 😉

I only rinse mine unless she gets sloppy with them. Fun to make and so versatile. She had some factory made and when we moved she discarded all them.

 

I am guessing that you carve yours and I do to for the action end but turn the rest of them.

I use MaHoneys Walnut Oil on mine.

 

 

Yes mine are carved and shaped with chisels, etc. No turning.
