Nice!

I made some flat spatulas similar to yours, from cherry. Steamed the pieces first and clamped them in a form to give the an "S" shaped curve then cut and finished.

Lew.. these were made and shaped with all hand tools. Saws and chisels.

Quite nice Rick; both the utensils and for the intended recipient.

What finish do you apply?

Thanks Grandpadave52... To be food safe you should use mineral oil, wood butter (mineral oil + bees wax), beeswax alone, or pure tung oil (do not use polmerized tung oil).

I normally use wood butter.

Came out nice!

I turn the handles on the spoons and spatulas I make. Almost sold out this year so have to replenish stock.

Gerald.. Good on ya! I can't imagine making so many to sell. I'd probably get bored after a while.
