Walker Turner Driver Line 10" Band Saw Model BN-550 .. I can't find much info for this.. I think it's early 30's and may also have been sold as a Craftsman for a couple years.. Even though I should be wasting time on other things, I like doing these. This is pretty small so why not?? Everything was pretty straight forward except the covers. They are very thin cast aluminum. I didn't even think about them warping,, luckily I was able to soften them and force them back into shape.. I added some Brass bling and a piece of an old fence board..

Thanks.. This is the color combo for my Brand New 100 Year Old Shop. "Black Texture" and "Chevy Pull Me Over Red".. This thing is so small it reminds me of an old salesman's sample. I am leaving the name badges off the machines but these were too cool and belong there.. They actually a story about the transition to electricity in this country. All the castings and other parts were designed on a drafting table, all the math was done with a slide rule and all the parts were made in shops without electricity. Ball bearings were a new concept. Mechanical Engineers were some of the smartest people anywhere and never got the proper recognition. . We have made some amazing progress in 100 years.. I'll stop before I get up on my political soap box..

Thanks.. I am always looking for needless things like this to occupy the time I should be spending on what needs to be done.
