Upper guard part

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anyone knows where I can get the bolt or whatever it is called that connects the medal arm on the 510 upper saw guard to the knife. I havre the pin that connects the medal arm to the plastic guard but am missing the other bolt , pin, or whatever it is. It must be a specable item cause thr medal bar has a small hole on one side and a larger hole on the other side of the bar and does not allow the head or nut to protude on the outside of the bar. If no one knows where I can get one perhaps someone could send me a photo of it so I can try to made one . My wife Sharon is wanting me to get it fixed so I can make her doors for a cabinet I built but did not finish.

Thanks Ozzie

Well I must be loosing it. I was looking through the box of parts that came with the 510 and I found a small package that contained the parts I needed to connect the knife to the upper guard bar. Now when the lower saw guard I purchased gets delivered, and it warms up some, I will make something.

Missed this one too. Glad you found the missing link or what ever. :Laughing:Love it when a plan comes together. Gotta be careful when those Sharon spouses want something done. Things can get ugly. VOE😜

Don't feel bad, Ozzie. Bought 520 tables for my 500. Was adding table extension and forgot the screws that secure the tubes.  When I pushed the stock against the fence it kept moving. So went back to the box and found the knobbed screws. Tightened them down, reset the fence and all was fine. At 77, I am no longer loosing it, I have mostly lost it.

Well FIGatorwood I just thought it was my old age why I missed the items but I guess I just need to look better at what I got.
