November 13, 2025Nov 13 These are my #4 Hollow & Round matching pair of moulding planes that I made and the cutters too. They are perfect matching mates that make beautiful profiles. It's been a joy to make these!! ....AND.... they work sooooooo well! Check out this one of the many cut profiles they can make (see photo below). I made this profile using both planes. It's an "Ogee" profile. Took only minutes to do! Lots of fun!! Thanks for looking! Cheers! MrRick

November 13, 2025Nov 13 Author Thanks Grandpadave5! Personally I feel hand tools are superior. I have all the power tools except a jointer. But I joint when really needed on my TS with a jig I made. Otherwise and most of the time I flatten and joint with my hand planes. When you take into account the setup required for using a router, etc. I usually have the job done using hand planes, moulding planes, chisels, hand saws, etc. Using hand tools develops beautiful skills for the woodworking user. Since I got into making these moulding planes a whole other world of joy has opened up. It's awesome!
