I made this box for my Veritas Medium Shoulder Plane. I milled the cavities for extra knobs and the plane. I installed some rare earth magnets to keep the lid closed. It has brass hinges.
On the front face there's a little semi circular recess to place your thumb when opening the lid.

 

 

I made a little one as well for my Veritas Detail Rabbet Plane. It's a dinky thing but very useful. 

 

 

It has velvet inlay

Thanks Gerald! I butterflied through the thickness of the bottom half, drew out the contour using the actual plane, and then laminated the two butterflied halves back together.
