October 28, 2025Oct 28 Popular Post I made this end table out of Pine a couple of years ago to match our other furniture. It has a General Finishes medium brown dye stain and top coated with a General Finishes water based polyurethane. I didn't have a lathe so I made the bun feet by a special jig on my drill press. Here it is and ready for finishing. Here it is mounted in place On all four corners of each leg and made stopped chamfers Hope you like it. Thanks for looking! Cheers! MrRick

It is a groove. The top is made of 5 pieces. The middle piece is rabbeted all around so that the rabbeted edge is inline with inner edge of long left and right sides and top and bottom middle pieces. Here's a close up. I'm I explaining okay to you?

October 28, 2025Oct 28 One thing about open grooves on a table top is that the detritus of life tends to make a home in them. 😞

But then that's why you dust or vacuum now and then. Really.. it isn't very much trouble at all. Grooves less than 1/8" wide are recommended. Plus I meant to mention they are less than 1/16" deep.
