Popular Post steven newman Posted October 20 Popular Post Report Posted October 20 Take a good look at the ends on this tool set.. Bought this over the past weekend...for $2...I think... Got to looking at those ends a bit...have seen that sort of thing before...decided to try a theory out... Perfect fit, and locks in place...on a Stanley YANKEE No. 130A Looks like I now have a nut driver for my Yankee screwdrivers... These have hollow shafts, to allow a bolt to run up into.. Imagine that.... Fred W. Hargis Jr, Grandpadave52, Gunny and 4 others 5 2 Quote

Grandpadave52 Posted October 21 Report Posted October 21 (edited) Cool set and purchase Bandit. Can't say I've ever seen anything like that in the wild before. Does the handle with the set have a spring loaded collet like the Stanley or is it threaded and work similar to the old Miller-Falls? steven newman Posted October 21 Author Report Posted October 21 The Stanley Yankee has a spring loaded collet, you pull back on the sleeve to inset a bit...twist the bit a bit until the "D" shaped end fits into the d shaped notch inside..then release the sleeve and go to work. Handle in the set...is a threaded collet...you still have to twist the bit until it slips into place and locks, then tighten the collet down.. Used to have a set of Brace Bits in a red roll-up from this company...may have to dig them up, sometime... Gerald, Grandpadave52 and HARO50 3 Quote
