Dan Wyatt Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 Greetins To All, The first Old Wood and Metalworking Machinery Operators (OWAMMO’S) Gathering / Swap Meet was held in and around my shed on 5/7/2007 and so much fun was had by all that we decided to have 2 per year, so having missed a few due to Covid, this will make our 33rd OWAMMO’S Gathering. Several years ago, we decided that the OWAMMO’s Gathering needed more room, so we chose the Branson, MO area with the idea in mind to not only have a “middle of the nation” location to host our OWAMMO’s Gathering / Swap Meet but in case you want to bring the family it provides an excellent place to be entertained. We have set the dates for the Fall 2025 OWAMMO’s Gathering for October 10-11, 2025 (Friday & Saturday). Details about OWAMMOs can be found on our website: http://www.owammos.com Our OWAMMO’s Planning Team is comprised of people that enjoy old wood and/or old metalworking machinery and related interests, vintage hand tools, learning new techniques through various demonstrations, meeting people that share these interests, and the list goes on. We have been working for quite some time now planning our event and we would like to extend that invitation now to you! We again want to emphasize that the entire family is welcome at our event and along those lines, the Ladies that have attended over the years have now formed a group called the "OWAMMO Mams" and they have a page of their own on our OWWM web site and have a lot of fun shopin, takin local tours, and so on. Here is the OWAMMO Mam's direct link: https://owammos.com/for-the-ladies/ Please join us in Branson, Mo. on October 10-11, 2025 (Friday & Saturday) for an old-fashioned “old wood and metalworking machinery swap meet”, and the associated exhibits /demonstrations/goodies that we have planned around this family-oriented event. We have had some interest in vintage hand tools, welding, machinery repair, and other related vintage shop subjects and supplies so please bring your sell & trade stuff. Also remember that the Branson area offers a multitude of wonderful attractions, shopping malls, excellent restaurants, and things for the spouse and children to experience. The OWAMMOs Gatherin will be held in the parking lot behind the C.O.R.E. building in Branson, MO. The address is 280 State Hwy T, Branson, MO. The cost for admission to the OWAMMO's gathering will be $25.00 per person for the two-day event and your Spouse and children (under 18) get in for free! Effective for this event and future events, you will no longer have to pre-register. The $25 registration charge will be accepted in the form of cash or check when you register at the actual event in Branson. We honor all Disabled Veterans and for those Disabled Veterans who wish to attend our event we are waiving registration costs for the OWAMMOs Gathering for you and your immediate family and we "thank you" for your service to our Country. Please send me a private email to oldtriumphs@hotmail.com and I will arrange to waive our registration costs. Obviously, you can stay wherever you like while attending our event, but we are making the Best Western Center Pointe Inn in Branson our lodging headquarters. They are located at 3215 W. 76 Country Blvd. Branson, MO. Please call the Hotel directly to make reservations and their number is 417-334-1894. If you need special assistance, please call that same number and ask for Trish Razey. We also have a meeting room reserved and will have it open to those who want to relax and "talk shop", etc. after supper. Besides the vintage machinery aspect of the OWAMMO’s gatherings, some of the best times are had when surrounded by like-minded people who share your enthusiasm for collecting and using old wood and metalworking machinery, vintage hand tools, other old shop-related items, restoration techniques & discussions, and the list goes on! New friendships are made and old ones rekindled and we believe that friendships are a major reason to get together. Branson is seemingly encouraging flying to Branson which is evident by the reasonable airfares. In closing, we hope that you will consider attending our 33rd OWAMMO’s Gathering. If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to me: oldtriumphs@hotmail.com Thanks Again, Dan & the OWAMMO's Crew lew and Grandpadave52 1 1 Quote
