Just finished up a few birdhouse Christmas ornaments

Assorted woods, these are always popular.

Also, we had a lilac bush that was dying out, finally decided to pull it a couple weeks ago. I had never turned lilac so I put a little piece on the lathe and turned a quick little mushroom. Really nice wood to turn, the sapwood is almost white but the heart wood is really pretty with lots of color, kind of reminds me of marble.

Amazing work, as always, Steve!

I'm worried about our lilac bush. It was planted in the mid 50's and really looking bad. It's been extremely dry this summer. Hope it will come back but if not I will use your idea to have it be a lasting memory.

Must be something in the air.  My Lilac bush has been dying for two years now.  Not much hope for next years blooms.

Your birdhouses are beautiful as ever.  Love the mushrooms too.

As always, magnificently done Steve. Cool idea on the lilac. If you were closer, I'd gift you some burning bush pieces I just removed.
