July 4, 20251 yr Popular Post comment_358394 A man in the maze coaster set for a high school friend. I made the pattern from an internet picture. 1/4" Elm with a cork bottom. FD Polar 2/0 blades for the interior cuts, #3 for the outside. Quarter for scale. I forgot to add; the thin ones are the drop outs of the thick ones, a twofur if you will. July 4, 20251 yr Author Popular Post comment_358434 Fred, I dipped them in BLO twice, then dipped in diluted (50/50) shellac (from a can), hung up to dry/cure using a Christmas ornament hanger poked through the cork. FYI, I have recently found that if you allow the shellac to dry/cure in a dry and warm environment ( on top of a furnace vent ) the shellac will cure to a very clear, very hard, non sticky finish. I allow the shellac to flash off most of the solvent (alcohol) and then move it into the house and over the vent. Report

This mornings over night low was below 50*, so, pretty close to the heat running. The heat did run well into the last part of June. My bodies heat regulator is malfunctioning, the house got down to 68* last month, I woke up with a body temp of 95*. Report
