June 27, 20251 yr comment_358122 Just bought a LumberJack HD Log Clamp and the Drill Sargent. Want to make it portable, not permanently install it on work bench. Anyone have plans or idea for a jig? Got the log clamp today and the drill sargent comes tomorrow. Have 5 different sizes tenon cutters and a pallet of 1 1/2” dia. to 3 1/2” x 48” long hickory sticks for making stick furniture and other projects.Steve. Report
June 27, 20251 yr comment_358123 Had to look it up, but maybe mount on a 3 foot piece of 2x8 and then use clamps to mount to the workbench. Or if you have one of the "Workmates", use its clamping function to hold the 2x8 Report
June 27, 20251 yr comment_358124 Make a base plate out of either several layer of 3/4 plywood or some 4 x 6 lumber with a plywood reinforcing plate. Bolt the Log Clamp or Drill Sargent ( separately ) to their respective bases. Bolt 2" receiver tube to the base. For the log clamp I would use 2 tubes. mount trailer hitch receivers to your bench at your preferred height. products: https://www.harborfreight.com/3500-lb-step-bumper-receiver-69673.html Report
