Popular Post kmealy Posted June 9 Popular Post Report Posted June 9 Woodworking engages multiple parts of the brain, including those responsible for creativity, math, logic, memory, spatial reasoning, emotions, and hand- eye coordination. This whole-brain activity strengthens positive neural pathways and weakens those associated with anxiety, stress, and even addiction. The sense of accomplishment and the release of endorphins during woodworking and DIY projects can help people struggling with life's problems, anxiety, work stress, etc. find a healthy outlet. I just think this is so cool. Everyone can benefit from a bit of woodworking in their life. Even if it's just a little DIY project... Go make something!!! Popular Post kmealy Posted June 11 Author Popular Post Report Posted June 11 I used to tell people that it was cheaper than golf and you get a product out of it. I worked with a few guys that were always buying new clubs, drinks and dinner after a round, a yearly weeklong trip down south in the spring, etc. Then I moved to the country, now I say that it's cheaper than having a horse (that about half my neighbors do).
