John Morris Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 Took Michelangelo about 4 years to paint the Sistine Chapel, and he got paid a pretty sum to do it, a hobbyist? Hmmm. Artisan woodworkers exist, and their commissions can take a whole lot of time, and they get paid handsomely for their skill. Larry Buskirk, HandyDan and lew 3 Quote
BillyJack Posted March 27 Author Report Posted March 27 I got it. It’s the administrators against the career wood worker . Thats hilarious Larry Buskirk 1 Quote
Popular Post JWD Posted March 28 Popular Post Report Posted March 28 The best pro woodworkers I know used to be hobbyists, whether they started as kids or moved into pro work later in life. Some of the worst pro's I've met only seem to be good at complaining. Like everything else, there is a huge range of skills and experiences in any hobby or career field. A black and white world sure would be boring, I've never understood the desire to characterize everything that way. Gerald, Larry Buskirk, Headhunter and 2 others 5 Quote
