For what it is worth going to modify my bowl calipers  to reach deeper into taller vases and stuff.  Easy peasey

I caught some heat on another forum because I didn't go into the the correction for proportion .i actually initially wanted to use the scissors device image  but the pic was not mine . You would have to work out the proportion "calibrate the difference " in the center distance  and make a scale like the scissors thing here or if you wanted a 1to 1 same long reach on the opposite side .

Yes but I should have GONE THE DISTANCE I just got lazy . My wife beats me up all the time because she says when I speak to her about something like this I always start in the middle of an explanation and work my way out both ways. I just say it is because she is from Venus and she doesn't understand  Martain.
