I'll show how I made my drill press table.

Yep, Pretty neat.  Amazing how there are no holes in the top.  ;)

Looking forward to seeing your drill press table build! Always great to get new ideas for shop upgrades. What features did you include—T-tracks, fences, dust collection? Can't wait to see the details

If there are features to add, then I recommend a sensor that raises or lower the bed when it detects a part on the bed needing hole(s) and it is too tall or too short for the bit being used.  ;)

Second, and more serious, is to swap the knurled handle that loosens the bed so you can raise or lower it with a cam lever.  Best money I ever spent on my drill presses.

This is when I did it for my Wen benchtop drill press:  https://4dfurniture.blogspot.com/2023/05/cam-lever-upgrade-for-my-wen-benchtop.html

I don’t find I would need+a sensor or changing the lever…

Ill explain…Over 40 years no shops ever gave a hoot how easy a setup was.

In the college shop I taught furniture design in, the racks on all the drill presses were missing.  Students invariably forgot or couldn't loosen or tighten the table before/after using the drill. Racks bent, eventually breaking.  After that it was much harder to set the table height with no crank to raise or lower it.

Looking great.   How do you like that lumber core plywood?

I have debated adding something like this to my drill press for years.

In the center will have DC.I'm gonna tie it into my 3”. I have to figure where I want my shutoff.

Im trying to eliminate as much product in my shop as possible as I throw a lot away.

The poker tables, game tables, drill press tables, porch swings are just ways to get rid of it.

My poker table, bar window completion and hopefully I ge5 to my fireplace mantle and I may call it quits.
