I was trudging through old recipes for my wife and came across an old family recipe in my mother’s handwriting. The recipe is for a family tradition of Norwegian waffles that my grandmother brought with her from Norway. It has been in the family for many hundred of years. Mom has been gone for 15+ years. It was in blue ink which is not the best to recreate. After three days of cleaning it up I made one for my daughter,  nieces and nephew. I also sent one to my sister. 
 

She just text me and said “You know that’s mom’s handwriting!” And thanks for making me cry.
