Lathe Spindle Tap 1 1/4 - 8 and More

I wanted to find a tap to directly thread turning blocks onto my lathe. I discovered this company Beall Tools    https://www.facebook.com/jjbeallwoodworking/    and bought a 1 1/4- 8 spindle tap through Lee Valley. I have not used it yet however the quality of the tool is superb and well worth the $42.00 that included the tool shipping and tax from Lee Valley. Waiting on a 1 1/8 Forstner  bit to bore for the tap. If you are so inclined this tool really is great quality can't wait  to use it.

Thanks! Awesome looking taps.

I was able to pick up a "dull" one from a machine shop. Still works great on wood.

I have a few I acquired over the years.  They are a nice addition to the arsenal.

I have one for making faceplates . Usually use oak for this. Works great
