September 10, 20241 yr Popular Post This had me banging my head against the wall. I should have stayed in school and learned math. My granddaughter asked if I could make her a corner book shelf. Of course I said yes, I can build anything! Yep! I’m a knucklehead. Anyhow, here is a photo of it. I still have a lot to do, sanding plugging up some screw holes, sanding the shelves and attaching them. Hide a LOT of mistakes….sheesh. I did this with only using a photo of what she sent me, so I’m sure it’s far from perfect. I was hoping they would would want it painted. Nope, they want it stained. Paint helps hide the mistakes. Well, we will see how ends up. It’s make from pine and the shelves are a pine like (hopefully) 1/2 inch plywood. I’m going to cut some veneer from some left over pine for the edges.

September 11, 20241 yr Popular Post Looks great!! Remember we are our won worst critic. Did something like this once many years ago. Same result, lot of lessons learned, alot of mistakes hidden.
September 28, 20241 yr Popular Post Looks fine to me. Should hold all the books out there about corners just fine.
September 29, 20241 yr Popular Post Hey Pauley, nicely done! Your granddaughter will love this Grandpa made corner shelf. I know what you mean about the math. I made one eerily similar about four years ago for the Domestic Goddess. It's funny, she also showed me a picture and i figured "why not?". Well done my friend, well done. Let us see the final product for sure!
