These names are 1.25 inches tall. Not the easiest thing to do but they need to remember who they are...20240904_185520.jpg.373f2869d85cdd38cbf55ca13e8f8eed.jpg20240904_185911.jpg.4b2988916d6968d2164096f7ea305534.jpg

Stil have a little finger nail filing to do on these. I didn't know a case of beer would make a guy shakey.

So long as you remember which names go to who...or is it whom? Anyways, well done Patch!

BTW, guess you're not starting too early. Wife and I saw tonight someone already had their outdoor Christmas lights up. IDK, maybe they didn't take them down from last year and just forgot which switch they were on. They were shining brightly though.

Wow Jesse. That kind of cutting at that size is very impressive. How thick? What woods? What blade(s). Curious minds want to know.

Gene I'm using Olson brand metal cutting blades and I think they are 36 teeth per inch from The Wooden Teddy Bear. The letters being so small and turning is a little important. I like the blades with no reverse teeth at the bottom of the blade for this type of sawing.

Rapid resizer has 3 different programs to choose from and the Basic is all I ever need as it prints out in black and thats what the scroll saw likes. And I use the graph paper and a set of French curves for my designing. I designed my biggest clocks this way. The pad of French curves are like 19x25 inches or so and bought at a business supply.

I don't use the clear packing tape and glue sprayed on the tape for these small things I use a small tube of Elmers which looks like a tube of lip stick wife uses for her sewing. But then the wood has to be cleaned up with lacquer thinner when finished sawing.

There are many different fonts to choose from. Not easy for me to learn to use the program but is great for my type of woodworking. I think it is about 39 dollars a year.

Maybe than 300 or more fonts to choose from and any size needed. If need be a three foot letter can be produced, that is if a person has a printer tied into the computer. My printers all have been about the cheapest Walmart sells and the price use to start at 25.00. Haven't bought one or checked price for a couple of years but a person don't need the high end models to do what I want one to do.

The printer can scan a picture then Rapid Resizer can resize it then tells the printer what size to make.

The ink is kind of expensive but nothing like having to take something to a print shop for them to do what you can do at home.

I have saved all my original pictures and patterns for later use if need be as I make more copies than one so if a person wants something made like one I made a few years ago, no problem.

This guy wanted a pattern like the 40" wrist watch I made a few years ago and the original pattern was 20 inches from

A wood working place that folded some time ago. I went and found it and I didn't remember how I still have the original copy but I had cut each piece of the wrist watch out of the plans then Rapid Resizer make what I wanted then took those small pieces and clear taped them back in to the original patterns for later use but I could not think how I did that since I had enlarged the pattern for the size I used. All the wood is Ashallthesamewoodjuststaineddifferent.jpg.ee84b586a7e36706fa1f6b2dd9ed9473.jpg
