August 8, 20242 yr comment_340115 I'm making a coffee table for my grandson and it's sort of a Mission style and he wants a mission finish. This is QSWO and I usually fill the grain on the table top and try to get a glass smooth finish. My goto grain filler in the past has been Behlen's Pore 'O Pac solvent based, and my leftover stock is hard as a rock. So I try to buy another can only to find it's not available anywhere I normally buy from. My guess is the CARB laws or the Fed EPA has runn this one off the market, Behlen's still offers the water based stuff. I won't use that but I did find a Mohawk product that may fill the bill. I try to be as green as anybody, but such things like this are just aggravating. It's also possible it wasn't popular enough to keep on the market; or any of a thousand other reasons I can't find it.....none of which make it less aggravating. Report

Bought a gallon just because such solvents can come in handy, and I hadn't seen it for sale retail before. Report
