Infinity Coffee Tables

Hi All,

These are meant to go with my Infintiy Chair. I'm sure they need refining, but I think they could be stable with a stiff bracket where they intersect with the table. Am I crazy? Dan

You've got a good point. I'll see if I can reduce the risk. Dan

I like it too, although the center intersection of all the pipes would be a mess to weld or join.

A rule of thumb I used to check my student's projects for was how much the top hung over the base footprint.  Easy to check in a top view by drawing a rectangle from each point the base touches the floor farthest out from the center.   1/5 was the limit I recommended with at most 1/5 of the top overhanging the base perimeter and 4/5 behind that tip point/edge to counterbalance it if anyone sat on the edge. That assumed the top was well attached to the base and not just resting on it.

Thank you for that fraction. I'll keep it in mind for future projects.

Great idea

Just a thought - could the piping be replaced with colored epoxy to give it more strength?
