July 9, 20242 yr Popular Post I had a very nice trip. We did stop by the North Bennett Street school to admire their student gallery, very fine work on display! Had a nice visit to a Rockler store up in NH as well. I'm not a huge Rockler fan, but its always great to get into a store full of tools Unfortunately, that is the only woodworking related content A few donuts were consumed, my host is a fan of donuts and we sampled several shops in the area. My favorite was Union Square Donuts, they use a raised dough that is like a blend of the traditional raised dough and the fry bread you get at the state fair or out where I live. I didn't try their cake donuts also, but I expect those are equally wonderful (I've never met a donut I didn't like ). Also went up to Rockport to see what the tourists get up to.... man, I've lived out west so long that I really don't like crowds! Came home to the pleasant surprise that my ex had finished packing up all her stuff and was ready to move - we get along well so she was storing stuff in my garage and staying in the guest room until she was ready to drive off to Reno (oh the irony!). The only unpleasant surprises were that my favorite moving dolly had departed under her huge massage chair and she managed to run the truck in to one of my gutters. Oh well, after 27 years I kinda got used to that sort of stuff, and hopefully I won't get any more of it going forward!

Au contraire, my friend...your second paragraph above is one of the core skills for any woodworking project. Welcome home...glad you had a good trip.
