June 27, 20242 yr Popular Post HI - In 1970 I built this toy cabinet for my younger sister. I knew nothing aboutral woodworking, but, as an artist, I had ideas about the design. It's all plywood painted white and held together with nails. Recently, when I found these photos, I decided to make a Sketchup model. So I made the model 50 years after building the original! These days, I would make the model first. Hope you like it. Dan

June 28, 20242 yr Welcome to The Patriot Woodworker Dan. Great to have you on-board. Thanks for posting the pics and especially the backstory. Love seeing and hearing others experiences that ignited the life-long passion and learning. Looking forward to seeing and reading about your current as well as previous projects. Glad you're part of us. One question, on this first project, how many donuts were consumed during the construction? Knowing this might be helpful to many of our readers.Speaking of donuts, new guy /gal is responsible to provide donuts for the gang. Your day is tomorrow. Just leave them in the breakroom. "They" always seem to sniff them out.
July 3, 20242 yr Author Popular Post Hello Handy Dan, Grandpa, and Kev, I didn't see anywhere else to reply so I hope you all get this. Thanks for the welcome. I don't think I ate any donuts during the making of the toy cabinet, I was working on the floor of my parents' garage with few tools, handsaw, hammer, nails, paint. Again, this was 50 years ago. Dan
