June 21, 20241 yr Popular Post The first one I made for my granddaughter, Genesis. Since her astrological sign is Aries I added the ram to the name plate. The second one I made for my neighbor's newborn son. They said they named him Henry but they were going to call him Hank so I made this for the baby's room.
June 22, 20241 yr Author Thanks for the kind words fellas. I must admit I'm a little embarrassed to show what I have done. After all, some of you guys can make a 3D Cornucopia and I can make a 2D kernel of corn.

June 29, 20241 yr Popular Post Bubba, not too many guys use the scroll saw very much on this channel so I am glad to see what you are doing with the saw.. Here is another way I like to make names. I print out the letters and then draw two lines below the letters so the name ends up on a piece of wood tying all the letters together. Otherwise it is almost impossible to make one letter at time then by the time a person tries to glue them on some wood it ends up looking terrible. I use Rapid Resizer to print out the letters and it will put them in any size I need then print out a pattern to glue on some wood. After I print them out I draw two lines under the letters so all the letters stays the same distance from each other. I call it name tags sitting on a log. I been trying to get everyone interested using the scroll saw and about all I get out of any one here is a big, ho hum For me the scroll saw is used every day even the flower petals are made from maple wood with the scroll saw. Keep posting and maybe we can get more guys interested.
June 30, 20241 yr Author Thanks Jesse. I really like the script letters in the first picture. I may have to try something like that.
June 30, 20241 yr Bubba anything to do with scroll sawing I can be of help. Just name it and I probably made it at one time or the other. After I glue the pattern on to the wood I saw all the pieces apart before I use a Dremel with some good bits and power carve them then glue everything on to a backer board. I used baltic birch plywood and let the plys show up in different shades of color.
