June 13, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_337207 This was my first project after I purchased my scroll saw. I made this for my wife. This was made with thin, I think, birch plywood. I cut the flower out with the scroll saw then glued yellow and green felt I got from a hobby shop to the back. When hanging in the window during the daylight the image is back lit by the sunlight. It's nothing fancy but the wife liked it. Report

Great group here always willing to help. BTW, cool project and very clever idea using the felt as a light filter. Report

June 14, 20242 yr Author comment_337280 Thanks for all the kind words about the rose. DuckSoup, I love the scroll saw. I have made several things for my wife and granddaughter using it plus some fairly intricate designs cut in the center of some boot jacks I make. I found it wasn't the right tool for cutting wood thicker that 1/4" so I recently broke down and bought a tabletop band saw and I really like it as well. Report
