Hello! My name is Bryan! Me and my fiance currently live in Nashville,TN. I call Chicago home and Laura is from the beautiful state of New Hampshire. We plan to buy our forever home in the Minneapolis area in a few years. We can't wait!

So, we have decided that most furniture stores we've been to just don't have what we are looking for; We've decide to buy vintage/older furniture and restore it. Furniture stores just don't have the quality we are looking for and is extremely over priced for what we get. We are also looking into used/thrift stores for quality things. This is where I come in! Laura is not interested in doing this with me but I am excited. I've never done anything like this and looking forward to learning something new, restoring some nice furniture for our forever home, and hopefully not break too many things in the process. I'll be posting asking for help later today. This is a picture of the dining set we just purchased. This will be "Project 1"! Cheers!

Welcome.  Ask away.  We'll do our best to help.

Hi, and welcome!

Welcome Bryan to The Patriot Woodworker. Glad you found us and joined up. Look around and don't hesitate to ask your questions. We're here for you when you need us. Looking forward to your on-going participation with us.

I live just a few miles from the Boilers campus. My SIL bleeds Wolves football. I also am a past resident of Nashville back in the early 70's. In fact I ate my first ever Krispy-Kreme donut there over on Gallatin Road, aka Gallatin Pike. Speaking of donuts, the new guy is responsible to furnish donuts for the gang. A Krispy-Kreme chocolate glazed works for me. Just leave them in the break room. I'll make sure everyone knows we have donuts.

Good morning! Thank you for the warm welcome and I definitely look forward to learning and participating when I can. Nashville has definitely changed and not in a good way. We are ready to leave and looking forward to Minnesota. I always thought Krispy Kreme was overrated. They are everywhere "airy and soft" with almost no texture to them. I'm sure I can get a discount on a dozen and you just keep looking for them in that break room. They'll be there soon! Go Blue!

Welcome Dave! Chattanooga here. Some of the best and talented people are here. The folks here are always willing to help. They have helped this fledgling old codger more than they should have.

Welcome aboard. Looks like you have a full summer ahead with the search and refinishing.

Thanks, Kev. Definitely getting some much needed help and looking forward to my first project.

Gerald, between the dining table, work, and several other projects, I would definitely say I will be busy this summer. I also plan on buying an old Grumman aluminum canoe and restoring it. Fun times ahead! Cheers!
