Am I a woodworking expert?

Interesting video and thought it explained a lot of things

the "political" experts didn't know what was going to happen, they told you what they wanted to happen.

Can't be an expert if I can't remember where I laid my pencil.

I was told in a time management class is that there are two ways to remember something.  The first is to write it down.  I can't remember the second.

I had a friend who was a police officer. He often had to testify in court. He said an expert is someone from out of town with a video tape :D

Times change. Used to be an expert was from out of town with a brief case.

Politicians have one great skill:  they understand where people want to go.  This allows them to get in front of the crowd and "lead".  In fact, politicians are very careful followers.  "Political experts" are simply good talkers/writers, structuring opinions for money, regardless of accuracy; they learn early that few people pay attention, so you can say anything and never be called on it.  They're just paying the mortgage.

The best summation of a politician I have ever seen. And they don't care even when called on misrepresentations they spout.

Guess this leaves me out...I am about as far from being an Expert as they come....

'Ex' is a has been and 'spurt' is a drip under pressure.

Thus, I am doubly qualified. :P

And I even know a few things about woodworking!

We've trained them well.  Politicians, like dogs, pay attention to food, and behave to optimize feeding.  Pogo was right ("we have met the enemy and he is us").

My observation is that when you ask a politician a question, you get a response, but it is rarely an answer.
