April 27, 20242 yr I've only downloaded the trial version, but one interesting feature is the ability to have it avoid clamps or any defined area you mark while it is cutting toolpaths. Keep-out Zones. A $400 upgrade until the end of this month, after which it will be $450. I personally don't see any features I desperately need in this version so I won't be upgrading. Just thought it might be worth a peak at the trial version for other users. https://www.vectric.com/upgrade/ 4D Edited April 27, 20242 yr by 4DThinker
April 28, 20242 yr Author I'll add that I've already found a few bugs in the trial version. Once you own it incremental updates to fix flaws are free, but IMO this looks like a complete re-write and it may take them awhile to fix the broken bits. 4D
May 25, 20241 yr V12 seems to be nice I was looking forward to the inlay but after trying it on a couple of test the fits are loose. I did my first sketch test yesterday turned out decent. Nice refresh UI.
May 25, 20241 yr Author Inlays with end mills that are loose are likely due to the bit not being exactly the diameter that it claims to be. Slightly larger than claimed Cut a simple single pass on-the-line slot and measure the width of it. Over the years I've found many bits just a bit smaller or larger than their claimed diameter. 4D
