In my effort to use up some existing "material" (wife says use it or burn it) I had this 2" piece about 9" wide of mystery wood in the pile so I cut 14" off the good end and tried to use the live edge end for something other than firepit fuel.

    Awesome use for the live edge piece. The darker upper portion is quite appropriate as a reminder of the darkness that came upon the world at the time of the crucifixion. The little star effect from the knot at His feet depict the blood shed. Well done! Bless you for sharing.

    Nope.  Just a white primer coat and then dabbled.
