I was going through some papers in a box of my Army stuff a few weeks ago, looking for my DD214 for my HR at work. I came across this.
My father typed this up for me, then cut it out of the sheet, and sent it to me when I was stationed in Panama.

Many feelings still come to me when I read this, not only for the beautiful message a poet wrote about my Lord, but the reason why my dad was compelled to send this to me at that particular time of my life.

I should mount this on a beautiful piece of wood and hang it on a wall. Maybe. When I'm ready.
I still have the typewriter he used to copy this poem to a sheet of paper.

For now though it'll go back in the box of memories.
